Taking my time this time

gentler on my heart

easier on my mind

what I seek, I shall find

these hands weave magic

intertwining the divine

mused with ancient alchemy

fused with what love means to me

used by bones that break for me

guided by light shining so I can see

what we know of miracles

comes from what we believe

and what we learn to let go of

learning from and leaning in with love

discovering god is within, not above

remembering to walk before we run

knowing we’re not for everyone

with great patience, great love comes

we were never meant to settle for crumbs

sometimes we’re asked to fast before we feast

virtue cultivates curriculum humanity needs

redwood trees grown from seeds

you will not hear a giant sequoia preach

stillness is the vehicle for the medicine

grace and time will teach
