Revolution begins within. Small, intentional, and consistent choices transform our inner world until eventually they take root, sprouting visible change in the environments we operate in. Empowered people have both the capacity and tendency to use their gifts to help lift others up. It’s difficult to show up for others, when we’re experiencing difficulty showing up for ourselves. With that said, you’d be amazed at all the little ways you can begin to show up for yourself. It’s a journey made one choice and direction at a time. It often begins with slowing down, and taking the time to listen to some things you’ve been trying to tell yourself for a while. Maybe let your guard down some, and be curious in the places where you’re defensive. It’s funny how growth scares us, even though it’s the very device which delivers our dreams and prayers. If something means enough for you to consistently ask for it, anything that brings it closer to you seems worth exploring. Commitment and fortitude are the asking price of dreams. To want something so much, and believe in it long enough that the only way out is through. We are magnetic beings, capable of moving heaven and earth with our continual choice to do so. You don’t have to seek greatness to recognize, and acknowledge it within. Beauty is not bound by a single path. We learn more about ourselves when we get lost. The way is never out of reach. Your thoughts are the harshest reality. Your kindness is the key. Your happiness asks for balance. Your joy asks for your attention. Your priorities think you should be one of them. Your dreams require courage. Your love is fuel. Revolution begins within. To truly love others we must better love ourselves. Our time here is meaningful, and we have the unique ability to decide how we spend it. The world needs what you need. You can’t help others while you’re drowning. Embrace the life rafts you have access to, retreat, regroup, and try again when you have the capacity to carry on. Your struggle makes you human, and is no cause for shame. What would we know of sunshine without a little rain? Great wisdom resides within a little pain. Start choosing yourself and you’ll never be the same. Listen to that heart of yours, calling your name. Rise, and reach for your stars; by first accepting that it’s okay to be right where you are.
