After Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons) gave Kevin Alan Lamb a shout-out in front of 30k people, he realized it was time to stop covering professional sports, and become a music journalist. When The Head and the Heart credited him for nailing what their hit song “Rivers and Roads” means to them, he knew he had found his calling.
Since 2014 Lamb’s unique brand of inspirational poetry and prose has helped others along their healing journey: rooted in positivity, self-love, consistency, and flow.
Music is the vehicle that built his love into his life, what is yours? For nearly a decade Lamb has worked in live music — building community, interviewing bands, writing, photographing, managing artists, booking, and promoting shows.
In 2023 Lamb published 'Your Daily Guide to Shine', offering a hopeful glimpse into the soul of humanity through its relationship with music, dreams, and home. This collection of lyrical poetry, prose, and musician interviews will help tune your inner voice, and guide you in the direction of your joy.
In 2024 Lamb published his third book, ‘Love Is In The Details: A Hopeful Journey In Grief’ in memory of his mother Kristina, on what would have been her 72nd birthday.
Since each of us will lose those we love dearly, it feels like it’s about time we better learn to nurture ourselves in grief, so we may more readily comfort and guide others in their time of need. Thunder, lightning, and hard rains will have their way with each of us, but that doesn’t mean we have to navigate these storms feeling like we are alone.
On his 40th birthday in March of 2025 Lamb published 'Love Vigilante'. Drawing inspiration from nature, music, and the enduring presence of loved ones, Love Vigilante encourages readers to embrace their journey with open hearts and unwavering hope. Whether you're healing from grief, searching for purpose, or simply seeking words that resonate with your soul, this book is a beacon of light in the moments that feel darkest.
Since 2017 Lamb has worked with visionary violinist Dixon's Violin as a booking agent, and manager. In 2024 they played 125 shows throughout North America on the 'HUMANKINDness Tour'.
